4 months agoTook my 5 year old Son to the Rehu Medical centre after asking very abiding people on the street where we could take our Moko to be seen by a doctor. I got told they cannot see him as he's not on their books although it states on the door to the premise "All Welcome" and the last review was from an Australian Whanau that were seen. I was told to take him to the hospital unless I sign him up. Sure I said! "Sign him up" only to be told that he won't be seen today anyway and that we will have to move to the area. I got to talk to a young Wahine Rangatira who stated that she has to worry about the pressure on the staff when it comes to taken in casuals and that's why they don't do it. " There was no one else there at the time by the way"! Anyway thanks but no thanks for helping out visiting Heretaunga Whanau.

4 years agoOn holiday from Australia and this was the only Doctors practice in Whakatane that would accept new patients/us. Jessie had amazing communication, my daughters initial appointment was at 3pm, then a spot opened up at 11.45am and then changed again to 11.15am. (The earlier the better, so thank you!). The Doctor was really nice and actually took his time to figure out what sickness my daughter had. He gave great advice that really put my mind at ease. Didn’t have to wait long to be seen.

a year agoDr Gefro has been failing my well being and mis diagnosing me and saying that I don't have Epilepsy and in my medical records it states I do. He rushes me in my appointments and feels like he is only about the money and breaching the disability human rights act, code of ethics and Te Tiriti o waitangi act. Very poor service. Where is the Te Whakakoha Rangatiratanga (respectful relationship) to client and meeting the Whare Tapawha hauora. The new GP Kea Parker has been breaching my disabilities human rights and not prescribing my medication for all my health conditions and expect me to turn to Rongoa and don't care how much it costs. She expects the neurologist to fill out the paperwork for ACC for my CBD oil and she prescribed it and the hospital. It's like how useless and corrupt are they blaming one another and passing the but. I requested for my prescriptions last week Tuesday and they failed and still had not done it and I cc HDC in my emails as evidence and I went into Whakatāne yesterday and admin said that they were getting it done and lied to me so wasted my gas and I had to go in again today. When I arrive was told by the admin no appointment and I wrung this morning and they said come in at 2pm. Poor service
