Today, the air in Te Puna was alive with excitement as the Food Forests Tauranga Group embarked on a highly anticipated Food Forest Install at Lindsay and Scotty’s beautiful property. This wasn’t just a planting day; it was a hands-on lesson in ecological design, aiming to transform a section of land into a thriving food forest. A remarkable 450-plus plants found new homes, marking a significant step towards a greener future.

Guiding the day’s activities was Lindsay, a horticultural consultant whose expertise was invaluable. Her insights made the experience not only practical but also incredibly educational. The event kicked off with a popular plant swap table, a hub of free plants and seeds where attendees enthusiastically exchanged greenery and gardening knowledge, discovering new possibilities for their own gardens. Following the lively swap, the group moved to the main installation area, eager to dig in and bring the food forest vision to life.
