2 months agoWe came in really looking forward to watching Formula 1 on the big screen, and while the staff were absolutely amazing and extremely helpful throughout the night, the overall experience sadly didn’t meet expectations. We were in Cinema 6, and unfortunately, the projector wasn’t properly aligned, a portion of the screen was cut off, making it difficult to fully enjoy what we came to see. I approached a staff member about it, and while he did his best to assist, he explained that the screen in Cinema 6 was broken. For a total of $65, it was disappointing to find out we were placed in a cinema room that wasn’t fully functional. We would’ve expected to be moved to a working theatre or given a heads-up at the very least. We really appreciated the kindness of the team working that night, but overall, the viewing experience itself fell flat, especially given the price we paid.

6 months agoUsed to be great (last year I reviewed here with 4 stars) Showing signs of wear and tear with no maintenance now. No one checks tickets the last 3 times I’ve been, last night in cinema 1 the lights were out, us and the other people had to open the doors to the cinema ourselves and use cell phone lights to find our seats. Poor staffing. Looks like managements cost cutting is surfacing with poor staff training and front end service.

3 years agoThis movie theater is really cool. The decorations make it look like it's from the past, and you really get into the fact you are in a theater. I love the 8nterior of the screen rooms also it looked very classy. The screens are only average size, and for some reason the good reclining chairs were up front, too close to the screen where usually you would not want to sit, so I chose the standard seats which were perfect. I love this cinema, thought it was great! I will most certainly choose this as my go to for films while I am in Tauranga!

5 months agoTerrible experience. Our seats were taken so we had to spread throughout the cinema with 3 young children. 2 children had to share a single seat. Manager was not willing to move people to free up our seats nor would offer a refund for the poor experience. Manager was extremely rude and had shocking customer service skills - snappy and acted the whole thing was our fault. Don’t waste your money, go to event cinemas!

2 months agoCalled to ask about how the kids fun vouchers get redeemed. As soon as they answered the phone the first thing he said to me was, We have a big line here and I can't take your call now. That is absolutely ridiculous! I pressed forward and asked anyway and got told it's on the website and not helpful at all. He then proceeded to hang up on me. He did not give his name or anything. Need some serious work on customer service.
