The Great Te Puke Spring Clean is Back!

It’s time to roll up our sleeves and give Te Puke a good shine! The Great Te Puke Spring Clean is on Friday, September 19, from 3–6 pm at The Daily Café.

Join us for a fun afternoon of community action and help us tidy up our town.

• FREE Pizza to refuel after our hard work.
• Spot prizes for our amazing volunteers.
• All ages are welcome to participate.
• Students can earn Distinction Latimer hours and Duke of Edinburgh service credits.

Can’t make it on the day? You can still help! The Great Te Puke Tidy Up runs all week, from September 15–19. We encourage you to clean up around your school, club, workplace, or home. Every little action makes a big difference. We’ll provide all the necessary gear, including rubbish bags, gloves, and pick-up sticks.

Te Puke Shines After Community Spring Clean

What an incredible effort, Te Puke! The results are in from our recent Spring Clean, and we couldn’t be more proud of our community. Together, we made a tangible difference, cleaning up our streets, parks, and beaches. The final tally? A whopping 247.9 kg of waste was removed from our town!

This event, organised by Epic Te Puke, was a true community success. It’s amazing to see what we can accomplish when we all pitch in. Every piece of rubbish collected, from a stray bottle to a discarded piece of wood, contributed to a cleaner, more beautiful Te Puke for all of us.

A Breakdown of Our Hard Work

• Rubbish: 81 kg
• Glass: 53.5 kg
• Metal: 50.5 kg
• Fibre: 19 kg
• Wood: 13.5 kg
• Textile: 10 kg
• Mixed Plastic: 7 kg
• Green Waste: 5.5 kg
• Crockery: 5 kg
• E-waste: 0.6 kg

We want to extend a massive thank you to every volunteer who gave their time and energy. Your commitment to keeping Te Puke clean and beautiful is truly inspiring.
