Get Ready, Te Puke: The Great Te Puke Tidy Up Is Here!
This spring, Te Puke is getting a major clean. What was once a single-day event has now been expanded into a week-long effort, and Epic Te Puke is building on the amazing mahi (work) of Keep Te Puke Beautiful to make it happen. Get ready for The Great Te Puke Tidy Up, a week dedicated to making our town shine!
From September 15-19, Te Puke is inviting everyone—schools, kura, businesses, clubs, and community groups—to roll up their sleeves for a town-wide clean-up. This isn’t just about picking up litter; it’s about showing our pride in the Kiwifruit Capital of the World.
Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept It
There are many ways to get involved and make a difference. You can:
- Do a Litter Audit in your own neighborhood.
- Host your own clean-up session with your friends, family, or colleagues.
- Simply help make Te Puke shine by picking up any rubbish you see.
Every piece of litter collected is a step toward a cleaner, healthier community. Plus, the data collected from the audits will be shared with the Western Bay of Plenty District Council to help guide future environmental planning and waste management strategies.

After a week of making our town beautiful, it’s time to celebrate together! Join the Spring Clean & Pizza Party on Friday, September 19, from 3–5pm at The Daily Café. The event will kick off with a final downtown litter sweep, followed by FREE pizza, prizes, and community spirit!
